Conveniently located on beautiful Lake Vermilion just south of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Camp Vermilion is the perfect place to plan your next adventure. Whether you want to fish, quilt, cross country ski, snowmobile, or simply spend time in the great northwoods of Minnesota, Camp Vermilion welcomes you in all seasons.

Tucked away in the tall pines on Lake Vermilion, this location offers a true getaway. With plenty of places to explore on our more than 300 acres, you’ll want to make us an annual visit.

Meeting Space - A versatile space that can be used for formal meetings, relaxing and fellowship, or arranged with tables for working or creating.

A conference room with a view of the outdoors. Can be arranged for a formal meeting or brainstorming conversations.

Sleeping Room - Four rooms with various arrangements, accommodating 4-16 people with a total capacity of 42. Three rooms include queen size beds.

The Dining Hall seats 130 and can be set up for lectures, quilting groups, or with space for activity.

Our two comfortable lodges offer flexibility for your group.

From a small group of adults to a gathering of families, Voyageur Lodge and the Bakk House provide plenty of space for games and fellowship, quiet conversation and spaces to read and relax.


Bakk House

A cozy living space can be used for casual conversation or arranged to for a more formal meeting or work space.


A full kitchen offers groups the option of providing their own meals. Groups are also welcome to bring in their own snacks and beverages.

Three main level bedrooms that sleep up to 8 people have comfortable beds and windows for plenty of light during the day.


The lower level offers additional sleeping for 12 and space for breakout groups or games.

Wakemup Lodge has a rustic charm that enhances any use of this building. A seasonal space for large and small groups, useful for breakout groups, teaching sessions, or group building games and activities.


Our boathouse provides an amazing view of Lake Vermilion. This seasonal space allows for much creativity in how your group can put it to use.

Our seasonal Chapel is a versatile space that can be used for rainy night campfires, lectures, presentations, or tasks that need a bit more open space.

Feeling a bit more adventurous?

We have more rustic seasonal cabins available in the late spring and early fall, with occasional availability during June, July, and August. These spaces offer more of a summer camp feel, and can accommodate groups of various sizes.


Priest House

 

Located near the lake’s edge, the Priest House is a cozy space for a small group getaway. While ideally a three-season space, the Priest House is available to rent all year long.

The kitchen offers the basic amenities and allows groups to be self-contained while enjoying life on the shores of Lake Vermilion.

A living room with fireplace offers a cozy place to gather with friends for a weekend of fishing, snowmobiling, or rest.

Two bedrooms with three bunks gives the Priest House a capacity of 12. Each sleeping room also has a sink.


Seasonal Cabins

Located throughout the property, our seasonal cabins house 4-11 people. A public shower house is available from May to September, and outhouses are in close proximity to each cabin village. (Click on a picture below for a larger image.)

 

Your time with us isn’t complete without space to play, relax, and enjoy the solitude of the northwoods.

Be sure to make time to enjoy all that Camp Vermilion has to offer, from gathering around a campfire to conversation in the sauna, or a morning cup of coffee on the Voyageur Lodge deck to a group game in the ball field.
