Let us tell you a few more things to help you decide if a northwoods retreat is right for your group. You can also check out our fees and rates.

Do you have available dates in the summer?

Summer availability is limited between mid-May and late August due to 10 weeks of summer camp programs and use of our facilities by returning groups. However if you are flexible with your dates, we would be happy to work with you to find a weekend at Camp Hiawatha or a possible longer stay at Camp Vermilion.

Will there be other groups there with us?

Depending on the size of a group, our locations do accommodate multiple events at the same time. We do reserve the right to limited the number of sleeping rooms or meeting spaces based on the number in your group. For groups under 60 you are able to pay an exclusive use fee to ensure that no other event is happening while you are with us.

Do you allow pets?

No pets are allowed in our dining areas at any time. Pets may be allowed in certain sleeping areas. Any pet brought to our site must be leashed at all times and owners are expected to pick up after them. Please talk with us before bringing a pet with you to a retreat or event.

Do you allow alcohol to be brought in by groups?

While not served or provided by us, groups are able to bring in beer and wine to enjoy during their stay. An alcohol deposit is required by any group wishing to bring in alcoholic beverages. Read our alcohol policy and then let us know your plan.

What does it cost?

Our rates vary depending on the buildings used, food service needed, and type of event. We have group housing rates for families, youth groups, and large events, as well as a discounts for Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry member congregations. Can we do a day meeting, or do we have to book an overnight experience?

We welcome the chance to host your group for a full or partial day event. Let us provide a meal for you and you’ll receive a discount on the cost of your meeting space.

Are you a venue for weddings or other large events?

Yes, we would be happy to talk with you about holding your wedding or other special event at one of our locations. While we are not able to provide the amenities of a hotel or larger wedding venues, we will work with you to make your special day the best it can be. More information on this can be found here.
